This airport has a lot of potential but the management team needs to improve day-to-day operations of the concourse. Restrooms in the concourse were dirty, with 1 of 4 sinks working properly, no paper towels or soap in any dispensers. Check-in process was ok, make sure to go through Dept of Agriculture screening before check-in. Also there is no priority security lane - only TSAPrecheck and coach. The options for food are limited, the A/C hasn’t been working properly since we arrived and there are handwritten signs explaining construction. Parts of this airport are a serious public safety hazard.
The airport was small and simple. Once your off the plane you walk down a small hallway and boom your at the baggage area. Car Rentals are just outside the baggage area. Recommend grabbing a cold bottle of water as the day we landed was humid.
Great old time style airport. Small enough to get around where you need to be quick. Love the fact that when you get off an airplane baggage and car rental is quickly accessible not having to run all over the place to find everything.
Get your car and bolt out and enjoy your vacation.
Nice airport. You do need to walk quite a bit in order to get certain gates and there is in no air-conditioning some parts (To and from the gates and in the baggage areas). Also no air-conditioning in the security line which can be quite long. We’ve never had any issues with luggage here.
Small open air building (halls, baggage area, etc are not fully enclosed from the weather outside). Older island decor, kinda cozy; fitting of the location. Note: NO DUTY FREE store. There is a small gift shop that has 1 glass display off duty free" alcohol but thats it! Has 1 small gift confectionery style store for gum, pop, magazines and such.
