Nice garden displaying native Hawaiian plants. Fun to visit especially when they have community events.
Great tour... very nice and knowledgeable guide
It was cool to learn about the history. But, the grounds were not taken care of very well.
If you want to learn about the plants a trees of hawaii this is a great place. it was 5 bucks person to get in and you get a voice remote to that tells you about each plant. The staff were friendly.
Really looks poorly maintained. Bushes are dry and disorganized. Some decent parts like the grassy hut, and some nice trees, but most of it is an eyesore. Don't expect many flowers at all, I feel it has to do with either native and endemic species which do not flower much or because it was Jan/Feb.
Price is now 5$ per person too, definitely not worth it. I can get what they are trying to do, and it kinda feels like they are low on funding, but it's not a proper tourist attraction, more of a library of plants and buses. I'd hit up the amazing enchanted gardens in kula I'd you want to see insanely amazing flowers and plants.
