Basically bunch of idiots... I called them to let them know I was going to leave my apt at the end of the month, and that I will need to disconnect my internet then. The idiots disconnected me waaaay before my leaving date, even though I paid the balance. It took a few days to someone to come over and reconnect it. When I came to return my modem they told me I have a balance. They don’t know to explain for what, so I call the customer service, who put you on hold forever. Frustrating... I would not recommend working with them. Bunch of idiots, as simple as that.
Worse internet ever! Time Warner was better. Customer service on Maui is excellent though.
Everybody loves to hate on their cable company. Who wants to hear "We'll be coming by your house between 8AM and 4PM to install your internet and cable TV"? Well that's happened to us all before but it seems like Oceanic, oooops I mean "Spectrum", is really trying to improve their customer service because they squeezed me in the day after I stopped by their Kahului office to start service. The ladies at the sales desk were just getting used to the new system they use for accounts but they were very nice and friendly and so I didn't mind waiting. Here's a tip I learned that you can try too if you're getting a bundle of Internet and TV. Start your service and then a couple months later you can call Customer Service and tell them that you'd like to cancel your TV service. They will then transfer you to a "Customer Retention Specialist" who will try and negotiate a deal with you to keep your bundle. This means you can save some money on your monthly bill!
"Broadband" service in Wailuku is incredibly slow (2 to 3 Mb/s is typical download speed) and intermittent-goes out completely several times a week, sometimes for many hours at a time. Customer service is nice enough, if you can ever get through, but they are rarely willing to actually do anything.
