Honestly this was a bad experience exacerbated by poor management. I understand that accidents happen and that people make mistakes. I don't blame the forklift driver for his crap skills and unwillingness to help me clean up the mess, and actually i have a lot of friends and family that work at YB. But the actions of it upper management that refuse to take responsibility for an obvious yb mistake is asinine. To my buddys and ohana at yb i love u guys please dont take offense to this review, but this situation in not pono.

You better have all your ducks in a row. Proper paperwork, payment and do not ask more than 2 questions. If you know the ropes, your in and out. If you don’t, probably not going to be a pleasant experience.

Recently They dropped an entire pallet of my solar panels right on front of me. Worth over $5k dollars. After that (as their supervisor and first class forklift driver watched with hands in pockets) I personally had to pick them.off the ground into my truck in my Aloha shirt, slacks and dress shoes. Now covered in glass shards I drove to the customer service area only to be told by Dean Kapoi (manager) that since the materials were left on the dock for 1 day over their normal storage rules, their insurance will not cover the damages. I Waited an additional 8 weeks as instructed by kapoi for their insurance people to get back to me and they sang the same song.
I can ship a 40 foot container from Thailand to LA to Oahu for just over $2200 ( for 5k plus miles ) but some how yb charges the same price for a 30 mile journey from oahu to molokai. Kudeesh!

A monopoly tyrant. Avoid them like the plague. Oh wait you cant... yb isthe reason everything offisland is expensive. They blame it on the Jones act .. blablabla.
