If I lived in Maui, I would eat here *ALL* the time. I highly recommend this restaurant. It was busy when we came in, and for good reason - the food is delicious!! We ordered an appetizer (kalua won tons) which tasted great. But our entree was the real deal. My husband and I ordered the 'Notorious B.I.G. Moco' (pictured), split it, and STILL had leftovers for later on. It was superb. Can't wait to visit this spot again in the future :)
I ate here a few times. The food is very good and they have many options, most of which is Hawaiin cuisine. There is usually a wait but it is worth it and goes quickly. The staff is usually friendly but often very busy, so I wouldn't expect them to be chatty. Prices were great and portions are usually more than the average hungry person would eat.
Very busy and packed dining area. A little tough to navigate if you can't squeeze by narrow space. Food was made fresh and plentiful portions that had that homemade flavor. I had the Loco Moco the wife had the fish both were excellent. Price was good as was the service.
If there were an option for zero stars, I would do it. This was probably my least favorite restaurant that I’ve been to in Maui. I am a tourist myself, but this restaurant is literally terrible. I feel that the only people that would like this restaurant are ignorant tourists. I would not recommend this restaurant because the dishes are so huge, and not tasty enough to even finish it. Don’t be deceived. It looks good, but tastes like over salted poop. They asked me if I wanted a box to take home, but I didn’t even think about saying yes because I didn’t even want to lay another finger on the food. The amount of food that was wasted was unbelievable, my money was literally wasted. Think of the African children. I’ve never had such terrible food. Think twice before coming here.
I love a traditional Plate Lunch, such as chicken, rice, and mac salad. This place is LOCAL, friendly, clean and food was awesome! Worth the effort to find and park. Parking is tight. Reasonably priced, daily specials with a friendly staff.
