Very modern and some local one of a kind stores. We went to see the Dr at Lens Crafters. My husband had an eye issue and was seen and sent home happy! A couple of days a week they offer a farmers market. Very fresh and inexpensive- totally check it out! Also there was a young man who repairs cell phones in a back kiosk on the 2nd floor. Reasonable and quick. Fixed my husbands IPhone cracked screen for $100! Works perfectly.
Great mall considering...this area is very hard to maintain due to vandalism. People do not respect property and they write on bathroom walls, carve into benches, and litter. This mall however keeps up pretty well. Employees are always cleaning, security is always watchful, and vendors are nice. It's a great location for local shopping and even hang out until ready to fly onto your next activity. Check the website for events.
I really appreciate the local family vibe that the new owner is trying to bring to kaahumanu mall. There have been so many family oriented events happening recently and it is awesome. The play area could use some improving and I wish more shops would open but overall, there is at least one thing there for everyone.
Security can be a bit oppressive. Told my daughter there was a dress code. That got a sassy retort. "Like, yeah. I have clothes on". It is Maui you know. Kinda across the thin line of feeling safe and being watched.
This is a regular mall for the every day shopper vs the high end shopper. I loved finding inexpensive stores here during my visit to Maui. And it's clean. Also went to the movie theater and enjoyed the hospitality from the staff.
