Wailuku Pet Clinic was happy to take Hoku in as an emergency surgery and I had never been to them ever!! They did the surgery right away and saved my dog's life.
When the vet called their office for this emergency, we were told that their office would not see us or operate on Hoku. All because I had not been a customer of theirs for 3 years.
I used to take my dogs here. Terry (the Vetrinaian) is really knowledgeable. I have referred dozens and dozens of people to him. Anyway... I moved Upcountry and was seeing abother vet for my dogs. Today, my dog Hoku, was diagnosed with Pyometra. This required an emergency surgery. The vet Upcountry doesn't do surgeries like this. I told him I would like to take Hoku to to Terry at (Kahului Animal Clinic).
If you want a vet who can do everything... from surgery to basic... take your animal to Wailuku Pet Clinic and not thia place!!
I was shocked!! And i felt like a fool for wanting this vet to do the surgery. All because I had not taken my dogs to the. In 3 years? Wow!!
I will never ever ever forget how Kahului Animal Hospital turned us away for a life or death surgery!! I felt remorse for ever taking my dogs there in the past.
Terry is an amazing surgeon and has so much knowledge. But his front desk or office staff are a bunch of bureaucratic a-holes!
As far as Kahului Animal Hospital goes... I will never refer another person to them EVER again. They could have bent their rules since this was a life or death situation for my dog. Especially since I had patronized their establishment many times in the past.
But instead they turned us away. The surgery went successfully with Wailuku Pet Clinic and my Hoku is alive and well.
