My experience at other doctor offices is that the supporting staff does not always reflect the energy or competence of the attending physician. This is probably a management (office manager?) issue or a Maui thing. Many times the doctor has no idea how poorly their staff behaves. It is up to us, as the paying patient, to let the doctor know if there is an issue or if we are treated poorly.
NICE staff and doc, thorough and thoughtful. A couple of names I remember who were especially nice and were my attendees, Alice, Steve and Dr. Mannick.
While I haven't been in the office in over a year, my experience with Dr. Mannick was very positive and extremely professional. She cares and she shows it.
Dr. Mannick it the most awesome doctor I've ever been to for anything. Absolutely, bar none! She is friendly, thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. With some doctors one might wonder what grades they got in medical school; with Dr. Mannick I'm sure she got all A's and graduated at the top of her class. We're so fortunate to have her on Maui.

I have been sick for over a year and no doctor or er was able to help. My new doctor Dr Pedre got me an appointment with Dr Mannick on Molokai in less than 3days.Dr Mannick set up testing to be done on Maui. Less than one month later with an endoscopy test she found the problem! Thanks doctor for being on top of things!
Yes, it does take time to get an appt. w Dr. Mannick. You need a referral. She has an extremely busy office because she simply is the best Gastroenterologist and everybody in Maui Nui who has a GI issue is knocking on her door. It took me 6-9 months five years ago to get an appt., but she has taken excellent care of me since then. She does not take on more than she can handle because she provides top quality care. So please don't post 1 star reviews if you are not a patient. I'm sure all of Dr. Mannicks' patients would not hesitate to give her a 5-star review.
