My husband needed a replacement cord for his iPhone. We did a Google search and found MacNet. It appeared that MacNet was the only place on Maui that carried Apple products. It was located conveniently for us, since we would be passing it on our way to our hotel. The gentleman who helped us was friendly and professional. We felt he went over and beyond to be sure that my husband needed a new cord and not something else. To be honest, we were a little concerned about going there, because some of the reviews were not very favorable. We did not experience anything negative. We will not hesitate to go to this place again, if the need arises.
A wonderful, professional, and helpful business. A day after I arrived on Maui from Alaska, my laptop opened with the dreaded flashing ?. With important emails and other business to take care of, I was in a panic. I found MacNet. When I called, very nice knowledgeable Jennifer talked to me, made good suggestions, and let me know if I still couldn’t make it work by myself, their experts were available for walk-in customers. Staff greeted me warmly. Technical guru Andrew took my computer and in less than ten minutes diagnosed the problem (caused by a mistake made by Apple) and fixed it. While I waited, I watched two other sales people do a great job of helping customers.
So much for the Aloha spirit. I was on crutches with a broken ankle and I just needed to purchase the iPhone case they were holding for me. I stood up waiting to be acknowledged, but eventually became tired after standing and waiting for someone to acknowledge me. I sat in the corner, crutches in hand and was passed by about 3 of their employees, not once did anyone offer assistance. People kept coming in the store and they were being helped. Finally, I stood up and went to the desk where an employee who was walking by in a rush said "do you need service or sales"? I answered "sales" and then she said "someone will be with you". Eventually another employee was able to find my held item and I was able to buy it. Oh ya, at a premium rate. Their prices are not what Apple charges. I understand it's an island and what not, but we were in Oahu just the other day and unfortunately the case I wanted was sold out at the Apple Store there, but it was the same price that Apple had on their website. So buyer beware, I guess is my only advice. As you can see from the other reviewers, the customer service is not great. Unfortunately, that's a bad mark to miss, considering Apple is known for its stellar customer service. I decided to give it 2 stars, because they did hold the case for me, although it took 20 minutes once I arrived to be able to purchase it.

My iPhone charger stopped working all of a sudden and my battery was about to die so I jumped on Yelp and found MacNet near my house. It's a nice little store where they have all the accessories for iPhones and Mac computers and I'm not sure what else. Anyway, a nice new cable set me back $20 but it's charging my phone fast and seems stronger than the one I got with my phone so I'm happy.
I went to the store recently after having been there a year ago looking to buy some Bose equipment and having no one ask if I needed any help so I decided to try again as I wanted to buy a desktop for my mom. I waited at the front of the store for about 10 minutes as employees walked by and again no one asked if I was being helped. A couple came in after me and walked into the showroom and they were helped and checked out while I sat waiting. Never going to waste my time there again !
