So, the details we received about this tour (sunrise at Haleakala and downhill biking) stated that there would be continental breakfast. I wasn't sure how they planned to pull this off because you get on your shuttle bus at 2am. So, their idea of continental breakfast is plastic wrapped raisin "danish" and coffee. Yep, that's it and if your shuttle is last to arrive, you might not see any danish if you're not first in line.
It was a good experience.. watched sun rise and did biking downhill was awesome experience .. it was too cold on the top...
The details said we would ride to the ocean and then go to lunch (pay on our own). Haleakala National Park no loner allows for riding downhill inside the park (no biggie), but we definitely didn't ride to the ocean or even close. Not such a big deal if it's stated that way.
So, the next thing is.. How do you feel about lunch at 10:30-11:00 am? It was a bit early and it was from a food truck. No problem with food trucks, just not quite what we imagine along with the not making it a ride to the ocean.
Great tour! Staff was very professional, friendly and safe; we had a great time with this company. The sunrise view is stunning and the bike ride afterwards is fun and gives a good view of the island. I would recommend their sunrise tour to anyone who is up for a morning adventure.
Just the bikes are not really comfortable.
Mark was great. Very funny guy. The ride and scenery were awesome.
Sunrise was fabulous, the riding was great, the clouds were uncooperative on the ride, but didn't take away from the experience.
Go to enjoy the scenery, but don't expect the details to live up to the brochure, or perhaps choose a different company.
That guy's was really really friendly and you feel comfortable with them .
