A couple days into the trip the tire pressure light came on before our drive to Hana. After a quick physical check of the pressure I suspected a faulty sensor and being near the airport I decided to just swing by and inquire. Without hesitation they had a brand new car pulled up and had us on our way in less than 10 minutes. They took care of the gas on drop off for the 'inconvenience'. They even called ahead to the final inspection rep at the gate to let him know of the situation so that he could quickly let us through and we could get back on the road.
I rent from Alamo often but this location blew me away. Arrival from the airport and shuttle to the facility was quick and flawless. Arrived late into Maui and was a bit concerned about their hours of operation, an email inquiry cleared up my concerns a few days before I arrived. Even though my flight was delayed even more than anticipated they were properly staffed and there was no indication that they were being inconvenienced by end of day customers. Check-in was quick, easy and friendly we were in the parking lot taking our pick of vehicles within 5 minutes.
Quick & easy pickup. Also a quick & easy drop off. We rented a Mustang convertible for the day. Car was a little rough but fine for the day
Worst car hire company ever. We booked in advance and were told that the car we booked would fit 3 suitcases. We were quoted $490 USD for 7 days. We get to the airport and the car doesn’t fit our suitcases so we have to upgrade and we were told there would be nothing more to pay. We are then charged 3 times the price! When we called to query the charges we were told that it is a busy time of year so they can charge whatever they want. They also gave us paperwork belonging to someone else confirming a lower total charge. Very disappointing. Not helpful at all! I would recommend staying away from this car company.
The rental of our car in Maui in Nov. was good. I checked in on line and did the go directly to the cars available in the category of the rental. The only car available in the mid sized cars was a beat up old Toyota which was very dirty in and out. Your agent upgraded us to a full sized car which was great. The Toyota that was available should either be taken out of service or offered at a greatly reduced rate. Over all we were very satisfied with the service of all you agents.
