Maui Cruisers is perfect for people who don't want to spend a fortune on a car rental in Maui and who don't want to stand out as tourists. Paul, the amazing owner, is a true character and was very attentive to all our needs. He even treated us to dinner one night at his home so needless to say we were blown away by his hospitality. Although Paul is not Hawaiian, he is the true embodiment of the Aloha spirit and he helped us out whenever we asked and provided us with some interesting historical facts about this magical island. The car got us from A to B everyday and never broke down so that's all we wanted and our wallets weren't dented by the experience so we will definitely rent from Paul at Maui Cruisers when we return.

The car was an older model and had a very "local" look about it. It ran perfect and the A/C was great....really the only two things that matter when renting a car in Maui! I paid a fraction of what I would have at any other place, including the discount companies.
Best service ever! No fuss, no muss... Just arrive, follow instructions to locate the car, and drive away. Unbelievably easy and no add-on charges! I definitely got my money's worth!
Before my trip I had email Paul and he had given me a very reasonable estimate, so when it came closer to our vacation I called him and booked a car. I knew it would be an older car but the husband and I were pleasantly surprised as to how well kept the Nissan was. The air was fantastic blew out cooler air than my 2011 Honda. I got to meet Paul when we arrived at the airport, he was truly genuine and awesome to deal with! Next time we go to Maui I'm hitting Paul up!
I got really tired of paying what amounts to extortion prices for car rentals in Maui from all the big commercial companies. I found Maui Cruisers while searching for an alternative and couldn't be happier. The reservation and rental process are very low key and informal. Paul has been doing this for a while and knows what he's doing to make it most convenient for the customer. Upon arrival, the car was parked in the airport lot just where he said it would be. Drop off was simple, just park it in the lot and let him know where it is! that's it! No shuttles, no lines, no hassle.
