People complain about waiting but want a deal? You can't have both, especially since Hertz doesn't offer Priceline name-your-price anymore. The wait is long but the cheapest rates are usually found here. So calibrate your expectations accordingly.
They were fantastic. Car rental is necessary on Maui, and they made it such a positive experience
The WORST! We had an over 2 hour wait for a car after a long plane ride from the mainland. 50 people on line and only 4 agents. Then, after they finally process your rental, it takes another hour to get the car. Apparently only 1 or 2 people cleaning cars. And all we heard was excuse after excuse. I will NEVER use Thrifty/Dollar again.

I needed a car on Christmas Eve. Late booking. And this was the only company with cars available. Was a bit expensive but. Can't complain much there, I was able to rent a car afterall. The lady who handled our reservation at the airport was excellent. Great smile ,personality and service. Then we waited about twenty minutes for the shuttle to rental lot. That was a bummer. But then again, it was about 10 something at night. Then waited again at the rental counter in the car lot, plenty people in line but not a soul standing at the counter. Kind of unprofessional there. When the lady came out we were able to receive the car right away. No glitches from then on.
